At BC Easter Seals Camps we are ALL ABOUT OUR CAMPERS! Camper Focus is our guiding principle and ensuring that children discover opportunities to meet our and their objectives is what we pride ourselves on.
All of the campers who attend BC Easter Seals Camps come with either a physical or mental disability. Camp focus however is on ABILITIES of INDIVIDUAL campers and buddy GROUPS.
The BC Lions Society’s Easter Seals Camping Program serves individuals with mental and/or physical disabilities aged 6 through 18 years of age. The program is not suitable for everyone. This includes invdividuals with Attention Deficit Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, or Learning Disabilities who do not have another form of disability. Those with Chronic Mental Disorders/Psychoses, Emotional Disorders, or individuals whose behaviour could endanger themselves or other participants may not be suitable for the program. The Easter Seals Camps do not have the facilities to support medically fragile individuals. Camper Applications and camper behaviour is reviewed and assessed throughout the camping season, as a result a camper’s registration requirements may change at any time without notice. The Easter Seals Camping Program reserves the right to refuse a camper’s application. If you have questions about your campers eligibility, please get in touch with us at 1-800-818-4483 or camp@lionsbc.ca
